Tees Regatta 2026

We had six junior crews representing Hexham at Tees from singles to eights. Everyone raced really well and gained good experience of multi lane racing. Notable rows were from Emily in her first single race and the composite Hexham/QEHS W8+ had a close race with TyneRC, winning by a canvas in an exciting race for spectators.

For our Masters crews the day started with John and Rob pleased with a solid race to come second in the double 2x H/G well holding off their usual regional friendly rivals from Tarn.

Hexham Mas W .E,F,G were up next around midday with the Ladies F quad in contention all the way and coming second to the TURC G quad. Thanks to Pam for subbing in to steer the Ladies E quad down the course for a good performance all round roared on by the juniors and QE.

Conditions were more challenging in the afternoon 3rd division and at the end of the day two Hexham mens open E quads were racing with one doing well to finish second in contention with an experienced masters C Quad from Lakeland with the other E quad delivering an excellent performance and a first regatta for some members whilst gaining valuable new experience of lane racing.

Thanks to George for trailering, a long day for them and much appreciated by everyone. Lots of positives to take into our next regattas.
