On Sunday 10th May four masters women flew the Hexham Rowing Club flag, entering six events between them on the Sunday sprint course.
The weather was a lot better than Saturday, with the sun shining and a chance to do some drying of blade and rigger bags…

First up – Catherine and Shor won their respective semi-finals to go head to head in the WMasC-E.1x final, with Catherine taking the win. Elizabeth raced in the WMasB.1x which was a straight final against Durham ARC.
Next the above were joined by Suzanne in the WMasC-D.4x event, winning their semi and final races to less experienced crews.
Division three came quickly after the quad – Suzanne and Catherine’s double competition were boating as the quad were leaving the water after racing back to back semi and final races… Suzanne and Catherine made it through their quarter-final, a close semi-final to meet Shor and Elizabeth in another Hexham v Hexham final, this time in the WMasB-D.2x with Catherine and Suzanne coming home in front.

Well done to Catherine for a hat-rick of wins and thank you to Suzanne for towing the trailer home.
