Hexham Rowing Club are seeking an additional Club Coach to support our members.
We are a friendly and successful local rowing club including Gold Medals at regional and national level. We are seeking a Club Rowing Coach to join us to predominantly support the development of our junior members. (www.hexhamrc.co.uk)
The successful candidate will have energy and enthusiasm, be proactive and be able to work with large groups of Juniors (aged J13-J18) as well as our senior and masters members. They will be able to develop excellent, professional relationships with our members, work in a multi-disciplinary team and must be able to help coach in a positive, fun and creative way whilst championing the safety of all participants.
As well as being ready to work with and learn from others around them, they will also have previous or current experience in coaching, as well through their own experience as an athlete (preferable).
Roles and responsibilities:
- Support Head Coach
- Willing to work weekends
- Attending local and national events
- Self-employed
- Up to 8 hours per week and optional extra coaching as required
- Rowing coaching experience preferred, with emphasis on coaching juniors
- Level 2 Coaching (or working towards)
- British Rowing Coach membership
- Desired start date: end of August/ beginning of September 2024.
Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications, references and a DBS check will be sort.
