Following a club open meeting, where members were able to comment on our ‘fleet’, a sub-group took this advice on board to determine which boats should be replaced.
As a result Quadfather, Northumbrian Water and a stable double were sold. Lysander is still in need of a new home.
To ease maintenance, we have tried to consolidate boats to one manufacturer – Janousek. This is a British brand based in Surrey, they are great Club boats and have served us well over many years.
Our four new boats:
- a 70-85kg quad
- a 75-85kg double/pair convertible
- A 60-80kg double.
- A 80-90kg single scull
This is the largest boat investment we have made for some time and rewards the hard work and commitment of all our members.
