THE BOATS

The club has a range of boats for all abilities. For beginners there are two Alden doubles which are perfect for coaching and two Virus singles which are wide and stable. The club also has several 'Tracers', semi-stable wood and canvas boats for novices (and those of the shorter leg and wider behind), and some truly wobbly racing singles. There are also three doubles, three quads/fours and lots of blades!
We are currently raising money to buy a racing double. If anyone is interested in sponsoring this boat, please get in touch!

COACHING

The club currently has eight coaches:
Bob Manning and John Mulholland both have Bronze level awards for rowing and sculling.
Neil Wilkinson, Simon Aitkenhead, Laura Read, Jasmine Black, George Doody and Maurice Searle have Instructor's Awards.
Through affiliation to the Northern Region of the Amateur Rowing Associaion, we also have access to local silver and gold coaching, should you have aspirations to become the next Harry Clasper.
