Durham Small Boats Head February 2011
Five crews competed - the two slowest crews won their event - George Doody in his veteran single event and Douglas Bailey, Rob Upstill-Goddard, Tobias Zimmermann and Barney Hawkins in the veteran coxed quad event. 

Explore Rowing - January 2011

Wintech Touring Boats October 2010

Two  Wintech touring boats have been delivered to the club - these have been part funded by the Community Foundation and the County Council Community Chest.  These boats are more stable than racing boats and will assist when coaching beginners and the less-experienced members of the club.  They have both rowing and sculling riggers.

Well done to Kevin Oates who competed in a composite quad at this event and finished third overall out of 189 entrants.  Full results plus photographs can be seen on the Veteran Fours website.

HEXHAM SUCCESS AT BRITISH INDOOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations again to Kevin Oates who won the silver medal at the event for his age group - 17 entries in all.  This follows on from his success earlier in the year when he again won silver at the English Indoor Rowing Championships.
