The winners of the ARA Coach of the Year Awards 2008 have been announced. These annual awards are an opportunity for the rowing community to recognise and celebrate the tremendous contribution of our coaches (paid and unpaid) to the success of our sport. The awards will be presented at the National Coaching Conference 24th to 25th January by ARA Deputy Chairman Gary Harris.
The 2008 award winners are:
Young Coach of the Year
Barbara Couperthwaite - Bewl Bridge Rowing Club, South East Region
Water Safety AuditsThe Club Water Safety Audit is a recognised part of each club's affiliation and as such it must be completed and submitted no later than Wednesday 31st December 2008.
Although the audit is intended to help clubs develop their safety systems, it is important that it is submitted on time as undue delay can result in suspension from racing.
